Location: United States, Arizona, Mesa

Creation date: 2023-09-07

At the center of the U.S. healthcare system, healthcare providers and payers must balance their delicate partnership to achieve the monumental goal of improving care while simultaneously reducing costs.

At Myndshft, we believe the first step towards making this goal a reality is to free providers from the time-consuming administrative processes that undermine patient care. We launched Myndshft with a singular but ambitious goal: To fix the “administrative plumbing” that keeps healthcare stuck in the past.

Today, our technology connects all healthcare stakeholders, automating and simplifying medical benefits checks and prior authorization at the point of care, enabling payment transparency for patients and freeing up provider time to deliver prompt and quality care.

As our PA Specialist, you will leverage your verification and authorization expertise to update and maintain our business rules library, (a critical part of our software), with the most up to date coverage information. As this is a brand new team for Myndshft, you will have the opportunity to grow your career by joining a team at the ground level, shaping our approach to obtaining prior authorization requirements from insurance companies. This is a mission critical role, as we require your knowledge and expertise to ensure our products work as intended.

  • Keep documentation updated when changes are made to prior auth requirements by insurance companies
  • Interface with software development teams to suggest and QA functionality added to rules engine products and UI for data population
  • Interface with customers or insurance companies to parse contractual rules and update them into a standard format in the Myndshft rules engine

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience obtaining prior authorization, and navigating insurance verification; you know exactly where to find this information, and how to interpret the requirements
  • Excellent research and comprehension skills when navigating authorization jargon
  • High level of comfort navigating unfamiliar technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and reliably
  • A self-starting mindset; you aren’t waiting to be told what to do, you ask questions, determine what needs to be done, and do it until it’s complete and correct
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, you can navigate pivots and changes, and welcome new responsibilities

Benefits

  • Competitive salary that correlates with your ability to contribute
  • Generous vacation + sick time allotment
  • monthly paid community service time
  • Equity incentive plan
  • Medical, Dental, & Vision, GTL, STD, LTD Insurance with employer contribution
